When the birthday girl’s mama reached out to schedule birthday photos, I knew this location would offer a lovely backdrop.  Pretty wildflowers bloom here in late summer and the late afternoon light is perfect for portraits.  It’s on the list of favorite locations in central New Jersey.

During our planning, we discussed which props we would use. In this case we kept it simple with a cute woven basket for the birthday princess to sit in and some bubbles to hold her attention and keep her and her brother having fun. It’s so important at this young age to have props and activities to have  a successful session! Discussing your child’s interests will help us select the correct items keep your child engaged and excited! Sessions are kept light and playful so all can enjoy!

There’s another special reason why this location was chosen.  This park, and specifically the cottage area is also where mom and dad had their wedding photos taken! We talked about how meaningful it would be for them to recreate the photo of them as a couple as well as some with their two children. It was so fun to make “Then and Now” portraits! I love creating these wonderful memories for families!
