When these two contacted me about scheduling their engagement shoot, one of the first things that came up was location. They live very close to a popular and gorgeous garden in central NJ. It would be a convenient and pretty backdrop for sure. On the other hand, as a couple, they spent lots of time at the Jersey shore and this beach in particular held some special memories. As soon as I hear that, I said, “Well, it’s settled then! We’ll head down the shore!” Anytime an engaged couple has a place that holds significance to them, I recommend they go with that location. It makes for a more relevant session, and images that will hold more meaning as the years pass.

These two were totally in their element and didn’t need much direction. They seemed to know just how to stand and to embrace naturally. They easily able to get lost in each other’s company and forget about the camera and the few onlookers that were admiring this gorgeous couple all dressed up in the sand and on the rock jetty at the inlet. The setting sun provided just the right ambiance towards the end of this romantic session. It’s hard to beat a warm summer evening by the ocean, and a pretty sunset for a great photos!
