I had the pleasure of meeting this sweet family for some portraits before they officially become a family of four.  We met at this beautiful garden in Hamilton NJ that happens to be on my list of top 3 locations for outdoor sessions in the greater Princeton area.

Their original date was the evening before, but the forecast called for a chance of thunderstorms.  They were put at ease with the reminder that rescheduling is always an option for bad weather or other unforeseen life circumstances.

We decided on early the next morning to beat the heat.  There’s a misconception that sunset is the only time to capture flattering photos, but with enough experience and knowledge about light, a seasoned photographer will be able to capture dreamy images any time of day!  In this case, with the height of summer, our priority was on making sure mama to be was comfortable with cooler temps and water on hand!

We had a lovely time weaving our way through the pretty walking paths, stopping to create beautiful captures in front of the charming gazebo, bridge, and trellis.  This garden is overflowing with perfect locations as you’ll see in some of their galley images below!
