This fun couple met in Princeton, and it was important to them to plan both their engagement session and wedding in and around this historical town. We selected Princeton Battlefield as the location for their engagement and set the time for golden hour. The light was perfection. Their clothing selection coordinated so well, and you could feel the magic between them. All the ingredients necessary for amazing portraits!

The session definitely allowed us to get to know each other a little better and to break the ice prior to their upcoming wedding. This is one of the best things about scheduling engagement photos. Assuming you are working with your wedding day photographer for both, it provides the opportunity to feel more comfortable with that individual leading up to your big day.

We captured some sweet moments that they’ll get to hold onto forever, and after getting to know them more, I can’t wait to photograph their wedding later this year!

The light about 1.5 to 2 hours before sunset is always my most recommended time of day for any type of session. The light is soft, coming in at an angle and provides the most flattering, beautiful light.
